When Facebook took down my post about the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, I took a screenshot of the rejection and posted that. Facebook's algorithms can't read a screenshot (at least I don't think they can) and by posting the rejection others on Facebook will learn about Facebooks' screwy rules.

I dislike Facebook for a number of reasons and this is one of them.

Not enough evidence. A well-known law professor at Stanford emailed me and suggested that I appeal the decision. I plan to.

I just tried to do the same myself. Same result. Then I tried again without the entire link, merely a link to the marginal revolution home page below the title description and timestamp taken from the page. Same result!

When I remove the link entirely they don’t censor it. FWIW.

Facebook took my post down criticizing taxation on unrealized capital gains using marginal revolution link. It seems it might be connected with the MR referring to a post on X that these posts are taking down. Though correlation is not causation.
