Can Rent Algorithms Help Clear Markets?

Merrick Garland thinks the algorithms enable collusion; I think they make rental markets work better.

The U.S. Justice Department and 8 Attorneys General are suing RealPage, a Texas software company, for enabling collusion on rents. RealPage helps landlords set rents by giving them information about rents in various markets.
